What is the current situation with the pandemic in France?

We are travelling from the UK, will we be required to isolate on arrival in France?
Currently (updated 26/06/2021), fully vaccinated visitors from the UK
are not required to isolate on arrival in France, further information is available here
I am travelling from the UK, what if I am not vaccinated, will I have to isolate on arrival?
Yes you will need to isolate for 7 days.
My wife and I are fully vaccinated but our children are not, will they have to isolate on arrival in France?
No the French government has recently confirmed that children under 18 travelling with their parents will be treated in the same way as their parents, they are not expected to have been vaccinated though a negative test is required. Further information is available on the French government website
I am travelling from the UK, will I need to show proof of vaccination when I enter France?
Yes, a vaccine certificate must be shown and can be requested from the NHS website. The UK government is also working on a agreement with the EU to ensure that the NHS App is recognised across the EU. Further information is available on the UK government here
If we have to isolate on arrival at the Château, will we be able to visit the restaurant, bar and use the facilities on the estate?
Guests who have not been fully vaccinated will have to self isolate for 7 days on arrival at the Château and will not be authorized to mix in the public areas.
Can we organize shopping and meals to be delivered from the restaurant?
Yes our concierge team will be happy to organize for shopping to be delivered from a local supermarket and our restaurant has adapted their menu so that breakfast, lunch and dinner can be delivered to your self-catering property.
What is the cancellation policy should we decide not to travel?
For self-catering properties:
A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance due 28 days before your arrival or full prepayment for last-minute stays.
Free cancellation up to 28 days from check-in. Should you decide to cancel before 28 days we will return your deposit or issue a credit note against a future stay with us.
If cancelled between 28 and 15 days before check-in, 50% of the booking amount is charged and non-refundable*.
If cancelled 14 days before check-in or in the event of a no-show, 100% of the booking amount is charged and non-refundable*.
*Should we be able to re-book the property we will issue a refund based on this new amount.
For hotel rooms
Free cancellation up to 7 days from check-in. Should you decide to cancel before 7 days we will return your deposit or issue a credit note against a future stay with us.
If cancelled within 7 days of check-in or in the event of a no-show at the hotel, 100% of the booking amount is charged and non-refundable.
We advise all of our guests to take out travel insurance.
Can we organise Covid tests at the Château before we travel home?
Yes our concierge team will be happy to book your tests with a local lab 5 minutes from the Château. PCR tests are charged at 49€ per person and 29€ for rapid lateral flow tests.
If one of our party tests positive for Covid-19 before departure, what is your policy?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund at such short notice. Should we be able to rebook the rooms or property we will issue a credit note against a future stay or a refund for the amount that we were able to recover.
